The Onion really has its finger on the pulse of this rotten time.

I actually fell for an Onion tweet a week or two ago. It said that Trump had made off with the original Declaration of Independence and then chucked it into one of his storage lockers. Of course he couldn't, practically speaking, have done that. But my sense of what's likely or possible is completely borked at this point.

It must be really hard to write comedy when everything is ridiculous.

I'd have believed it too had I seen it. Even though they had just successfully punked me about the Declaration of Independence.

I am sure that they are sometimes beside themselves and indeed having a less easy time writing comedy.
