This is painful, but not as painful as real life

Rocketman is a perfectly okay movie if you don't much care for Elton John music. It's a decent enough story structure, occasionally interrupted by people who are not Elton John badly singing Elton John's music.

Would you like to hear Taron Egerton sing? Me neither, but here we are.

Edited to add:  Oh.  He can't hit any of the high notes.  Well that's a nice touch.

Another Edit:  There's an actor that I've never heard of playing John Reed, and when everyone breaks in to song and dance, THE ACTOR CAN'T SING. 

Another Edit:  This is what happens when Americans try to make Indian movies. 

Final assessment:  Worst Bollywood Movie ever.

Being a fan of the early Elton music, it offended me deeply when he played Crocodile Rock at the Troubadour. I round it to be pandering of the worst level. I didn't make it through the movie.

I kept thinking it was going to get better. It did not.

I was much more upset at the quality of singing, but that's a good point about Crocodile Rock.
