This first round of photos and blogging is just about getting to the D.C. area.

Here's what things looked like before we took off from MSP.

Most of the flight looked like this

There's lots to do on an airplane besides look out the window. If a person doesn't bring along magazines, books, MP3 players or games, there's free airplane magazines to read.

I don't think that I know anyone, or have even heard of anyone, that orders the bizarre and outlandish stuff from the Skymall magazine. I think that their products don't really exist and are only there to amuse airplane passengers.

If anyone knows anyone who owns either of these items, I'll take those last two sentences back.

The D.C. airport looks quite a bit like the Minneapolis airport, but more night-timey.

We got to the house where Squeaky will be staying rather late.

It's a nice place with four or five bedrooms. There's also a living room,

and a kitchen.

After some wandering around in the dark, I found the bathroom. It's in the basement next to this.

The mural on the back wall is a rendering of the famous H.P. Lovecraft story "The Kool-Aid Horror."

H.P. always liked to end his stories by looking up.

That's it for now, more pictures later.
