The state of the Beer for early February
Feb. 8th, 2010 03:26 pmThere's quite a bit of snow outside. Shocking for the Midwest in February, of course, but there it is.
On Saturday, we brewed Copper Ale. The pictures sure make it easier for me to find the brew dates when I'm looking through the archives, so here's a picture.

Around March, we'll plant some Williamette hops. Willamette is the style that's in both the Hex Nut Brown Ale, and the Guinness Clone, so it must be good.
Therefore, the current inventory is:
Primary - Copper Ale
Primary - Excelsior Altbier
Primary - Mead
Secondary - Strawberry Lambic
Secondary - Wurtzberger Maibock (current temperature = 60 degrees F)
Secondary - Butterbeer
Secondary - Java Stout
Bottled - Mead - ready 4/1
Bottled - Hex Nut Brown Ale - ready 3/1
Bottled - Irish Red Ale - ready 3/1
Done - Grand Cru
Done - Taddy Porter
This weekend, I finally put together a spreadsheet of the brew dates, transfer to the secondary dates, and specific gravities. I'll still post here because these notes are much more detailed than anything I'm ever going to put on a spreadsheet, and it's in among the other details that normally happen in life, as in - "Oh, that was the week it snowed a lot."
