From the Prop 8 defense today, there's a wheelbarrow full of silly legal premises, most of which could be refuted by a junior high school civics student, including the assertion that because not much data exists on a topic, therefore it causes some sort of misery or trauma.

But then, there's this.

"Sponsors of the measure have said restricting marriage to a man and woman can be justified by the need to foster procreation and to make sure that children are raised by their biological parents."
