Furious Clone
Jun. 24th, 2010 05:12 pmTonight we are making Ferocious IPA.

Ferocious IPA is a clone recipe of Furious IPA. Furious IPA is a creation of the Brooklyn Center, MN based Surly Brewing Company. Midwest Brewing consulted with the Surly Brewing company people to get the recipe as accurate as possible.
We chose this recipe because a few people recommended Furious IPA as their favorite in a "ZOMG Awesome!" sort of description. There are six ounces of hops total, with four different varieties. My first expectation of this recipe would have been that it would taste a bit too busy, but it's an interesting combination and I am optimistic.
Somewhat unique to this beer - This recipe selection is based entirely on the recommendations of friends. Maybe I should pick up some Surly Furious to find out if this is even a beer that I would like, but I would have to disgrace myself twice in order to do so. Once to drink factory beer, and a second, more painful time to drink canned beer. I think the last time I drank canned beer I was in a public park and there was a law prohibiting glass containers.
This better not be anything like that PBR shit that the hipsters drink.
