The Saturday CVG Picture Post
Jul. 8th, 2010 08:00 pmSame as before, almost none of what I actually did is represented in the photos, and most of the photos are hall costumes. The hall costumes and crowd photos are first again.

As has been said many times by many people, Minneapolis Sci-Fi Conventions all have their own flavor and their own personality, and each convention does something really well.
CVG and Anime Detour both have a professional level masquerade/cosplay competition, and both attract lots of highly skilled costumers. I get the best pictures at these big conventions, I think.

Jul. 6th, 2010 11:56 pmTonight we watched Doctor Who and the Silurians. The linked BBC site includes disparaging remarks about Jon Pertwee in a tight t-shirt, obviously a misprint or a typo. Next up, we'll watch Black Orchid, which is from the library. It needs to go back before the end of the week.
For now, it's back to the CVG report. My Friday has almost no photographs that are associated with things I actually did. CVG Thursday Report
Jul. 6th, 2010 11:00 amLast night I wound down from CVG and watched lots of television. I got through the third disk of True Blood, watched some Farscape with my sweetie and I finished out the night with Taxi Driver. Netflix recommended Taxi Driver because I enjoyed Stardust, and it makes sense because they're basically the same movie.
Behind the cut text is the first part of my CVG Convention Report. These reports always start with lots of detail and finish with almost nothing, or a link to some remaining photos if you're lucky. This year will be no different I expect.
